Ah, love. In all forms I enjoy it, even though some types of love I'm not quite sure about. But the form of love that I have experienced this week is a form that rarely communicates with me. Taking on the burden of someone else, having your heart break for another person so much that it seems like its you. This is the love that knocked on my door this week. As I watched her walk away, knowing that I could do nothing but pray, my hands wanted to grab her and keep her there. But I knew I couldnt. I say "nothing but pray" like its a last resort, or its the least effective, (on the contrary, its the most), but I guess another thing I've learned is that my life isnt mine, and I dont have to hold onto anything thats too hot to handle. Its as if I'm holding onto a burning pan, watching it scald my hands, and someone offers to take it for me..and I say to Him "No, it'll cool down, just let it burn me for a while, it doesn't hurt too bad.. it'll cool down." But I don't have to. With anything in life. Ha. silly me. |

Let me explain the hassle of buying a laptop. No, just my hassle of buying a laptop.
I was supposed to get one 2 weeks ago, but it didnt work out.
Yesterday i was supposed to get one but i didnt have my Dads house key, and I needed it to get his credit cards for him because he was working in Portland. Today, we finally make it to Frys electronic store (which by the way is entirely run and operated and shopped in by only men.) So we get there and i pick out my computer and it even comes with a free printer so im thinking..sweet! So we get up to the desk to pay for it and my Dad asked if he took American Express and the guy goes no, and my Dads like well sorry we cant get it then. So basically we jipped the guy of a huge commission sale, and left me with no laptop. Sad day. So basically we're going back to Best Buy tommorrow to atempt this again.
Meanwhile, school is quickly approaching and I cannot wait to go. I never thought I would say that.
I got to hang out with Marayah today downtoen Portland. I met her down in Pioneer square and we hung out and talked and people watched. It was awesome. And we met a kid named Seth. It was good to see her again.
Well I am off.

Sigh...
I have not yet started school, and to those of you who have, I am sorry. But just so you know I am dying on this side of the spectrum as well. I have until October 9th to sit around and do nothing. I cant get a job because..who is going to hire someone for 1 month? Not very many people. So I have just been sitting and wishing and hoping and praying...and thats a song.
I wish Winter would come. Acctually just fall. There is nothing better than a really cold windy day with dark clouds. I love it. It brings a sense of comfort. Huzzah.
But yet, there is no rain, and there certainly are no clouds just sunshine day after day and the promise of more on the tele. I guess it could be worse, we could be going through a storm or getting over a massive hurricane. hmm.
I cant wait to get to the beach where I will be going to school. Not only to see how God is going to use me, but also to take in the cold weather all year long. It will be spectacular. To be honest, its all because I want to wear a winter coat. Thats pretty much the only reason I can think of that I want this cold weather. sad yes. but hey..nothing beats a peacoat.
You know I really cant wait for the Harlow reunion. those are so much fun. I say that like ive been to so many..Ive only been to one, but I just cant wait to relive camp in the winter months. Its like the best of both worlds..peacoats and love.
Meanwhile, high heels are the devil incarnated into a shoe. I wore some today and my feet are thanking me for it...by giving me blisters.
You know youd think that after senior year all of the "what am i going to do?" stress would be gone but no..its still here. Well I guess it isnt what am i to do.its more so..what is going to happen? I know what I want to do, where i want to live and where i want to go..but i just dont know if the school im interested in has my major..and its all just one big mess. God has always been faithful in these things though so im not too worried about it.
But life has been good, and Im just really living it day by day, not really having any plans untilt he day i go to school. Its been nice I suppose...just waiting for winter to get here

Man I remembered just how joyous this writing in your Livejournal 3 times a day really is. Acctually it just shows how much time I have on my hands when Im not working.
I really didnt have anything to do today so I went to good ol Starbuks and sat there with my Mom and talked for a while. I found out that one of the babies that I used to watch at my old place of employment drowned in a pool about a week ago. Its so surreal that I saw her not even a few months ago, and now shes gone.
After that I came back here to my house, and listened to various music choices, and drew in my scetchbook for a while.
Krisitn just called and I am going to her new house to go and spend the night with her and one of her roomates Sarah. In the wonderful mouth of Mon.

Yes Yes it is true. Im not dead. Horray! No no, I just havent updated on here in quite a while. I even forgot where the update button was.
Life is just so amazing right now. But the wonderful thing is that nothing is perfect, and nothing is horrible. The thing that makes life beautiful is the fact that its full of trials, and joys. Camp this year has been one of those joys for me. I went into it not knowing if thats where God wanted me, but every week I keep coming back. And every week He reassures me that indeed, that is where He wanted me. Kristin and I drive down together just like last year, and I am so thankful for our friendship. Its like having someone to laugh with, when theres nothing to laugh about..all the time. Yeah we were made to be friends. Ive made so many new friends, and been stretched so much.
I got accepted to Ecola Bible School in Cannon Beach. I was so excited when I found out, and I'm just so excited to see how God will work in everyones lives there.
My birthday was on Tuesday. The big ol 18. Yeah Im pretty young for my grade, but oh well. My Dad got me some sweet lottery tickets..BINGO! They take FOR-EV-ER to scratch and the 2 that I have scratched are no go's. I can go see rated R movies that I could have seen when I was 17 anywhere else but Salem...oh well its not really that big of a privilage. Ciggarettes are within my reach now...hah just kidding siiiick.
At camp they sing the birthday song to you, but i must have heard it at least 100 times that day. And at the end of the week they sung it again just for kicks.
Gosh I really dont know what else to write about...
Oh yeah! A bunch of us went up to Northfork today, and it was really fun we swam in the river creek thing for a long time and jumped off of the rocks and caught crawdads and fish. And I look like a tomato. Yeah all summer at camp I havent bveen wearing sunscreen and I acctually have a tan for the first summer in my life...so I thought hey why not try to get one here to..bad idea. I have never been this red before. But no worries if I keep putting lotion on it it wont peel and ill get a tan. yessssssss.
Well thats all i have for now. And hey if anyone still reads this you should write to me at camp. You dont know how fun it is to get mail from the outside world. haha

Well a bunch of us just got back from camping on the beach this weekend. It was just about amazing. So last night we aere al sitting around the fire eating dinner...and all of a sudden we see a shooting star above us..then it gets bigger..and goes down right in front of our faces, above the ocean. It was bright bright blue and neon green and white..with some red on the end. Yeah it was no satelite. Soo we thought it was going to hit the water and blow us off the beach or something because it wasn't burning out anytime soon...but it did like right before it hit the water. We were going to take a picture but we were all kind of shocked...so anyways we get home today and find out it was a once in a lifetime thing to see..and we pretty much got a front row seat. I felt privileged.
We came home from camping and got to church right when it started..so we had no time to go home and change so we smelled like campfire and gross. It was awesome.
So long story short this weekend was awesome. and so are shooting stars.

Well today was wonderful. After school, Kristin, Lauren, Marayah and myself went to spensers new apartment for his birthday and to go and visit him. It was quite fun. We took him out to dinner and he showed us "Gresham Station". Quite the fancy place I must say. It was quite fun. We went in the world Market and played with the cool stuff there, and it was just a nice time with friends.
We went into Borders cause everyone had to pee..so I was in the stall and i get up and look..and theres someones dirty socks right next to the toilet! It was quite the sight...i guess?
Sooo yes we did that thing for a while and then went back to spensers and loked at everyones myspaces...haha as if there wasnt anything else to do...well acctualy there wasnt..but it was still cool.
Then we took Marayah home and then the 3 of us came back home.
Oh cool thing God ddi for me tonight!! Soo Lauren found out that she leaves like the day before I get back from my missions trip (for makeup school)..so I was all bummed out..and then i get back to her house and her dads all "well hey, we can leave the 26th after you get back so you can go with us.." And I was like uh..yeah! So haha the funny thing is that I have to drive all through cali..allt he way back up..and pretty much do it all over again the day after i get back..oh well then once we get to Burbank where Lauren will be living, we get to stay a whole week there..so itll be sweet cheese.
Well <3 you guys..i must slumber..school awaits..

I'm usually not up for writing long entries in here anymore..but hey last night was AWESOME!! Gosh
So after getting there we waited in line (me, marayah, nick,caleb and steve) and just waited to get in. Misery Signals was really good, I acctually enjoyed them quite a lot. Umm remembering never was...
Im just gonna leave that blank. Umm Emery was amazing as usual, and I had a premo spot too, so all was well. I found a random tall guy to hang on to..too bad that didnt help me from getting some girls sweaty long hair in my face..or getting kicked in the jaw..but it happens whatever. Some girls were like whining when they got pushed into people..it makes me laugh..what do you expect?? Their set was so good..my 2 favorite songs they do live are Walls and Ponytail Parades..which they did wonderfully. It was soo much fun! Umm we didnt even stay for 18 visions. ah well. I saw Spens and Julie there, and like..everyone from myspace. haha it was like a convention. Acctually I saw a lot of people there i knew.
When we left, we went to wendys and then back to Nicks, but Maryah and i went to her house so we could change out of the wet grossness of other peoples sweat. When we got back only caleb and nick were stil there and we watched Hook and played Egyptain ratscrew. It was a wonderful night had by all.
Well im out like a trout. gonna play the SIMS.

Well my friends..its offical that livejournal is slowly dying..despite all of our feeble atempts to update..i dont know how much longer we can hold on.
Anywho, yesterday was one of the best days i have had in quite a long time. After finals (which werent hard at all just boring) my friend Alexa and I hung out..and we went to Gov cup..she had never been before so that was fun! and then we went and picked up Shayna so she could go pay her phone bill and we hung out with her for a bit. Then we went to big town hero and went home. It was really cool hanging out with them. Then i picked up Shayna, and we went to youth group which was sooo much fun. Jodi told me my headband made her happy. that made me happy.
We wentt o Abby's and that was such a blast. We played intesnse racing games and i got a sticky thing that you throw and it sticks to things. I threw it at:
-a salt shaker
- a reserved seating sign
- chris's hand

so after this it got a bunch of yucky stuff on it...
soo haha afterwards a couple of us stayed later and john and chris modeled mine and shaynas purses and did a couple of model walks for us... i must say they look really natural at it..which is funny. then we talked about pimping out some of the buses and bringing them out on windsor island rd to race...haha i can just see it now
then i took shayna home and i came home and hung out for a while since i didnt have a 1st period today. Kristen came over this morning and had breakfast with me and we talked. it was fun
